If you have many Salesforce users, applying a Salesforce User Filter may improve your Terminus Chat + Salesforce integration experience.
This filter applies to two features:
- User Mapping
- ABM routing requires that Terminus Chat users are mapped to Salesforce users. To enable ABM routing, you want to ensure that the Terminus Chat users on your team are not excluded by this filter.
- Assigning Contact / Lead Owners
- When creating new Salesforce records via Terminus Chat, you can choose a Salesforce user to assign as the Contact / Lead owner. The picklist of users will be limited by this filter, so this filter should not exclude any potential owners to be assigned.
The filter allows for multiple search criteria. Merely separate search strings with a comma. (see examples below).
Note: The default filter is to exclude the AutomatedProcess and CsnOnly user types.
Filtering Based on Email
You can choose to include or exclude based on email address. To do so, set the following:
- Filter Type: Email
- Filter Mode: Choose Include or Exclude
- Filter: Type a comma-separated list of emails with no spaces.
Filtering based on UserType
You can choose to include or exclude based on User Type. To do so, set the following:
- Filter Type: User Type
- Filter Mode: Choose Include or Exclude
- Filter: Type a comma-separated list of UserType values with no spaces.
Here is a list of UserTypes values that can be included or excluded. This information is pulled directly from this article. The blue text is the value to be listed in the Filter field.
