Overview
The matched accounts table is designed to give you insights into how many cookies, business IP addresses and UID2 reach are available for targeting for accounts in your CRM. This is useful both in budgeting and planning for advertising campaigns.
Matched Accounts
For each account in the table, you will see the following information:
- Reach: this is the total number of cookies and business IP addresses available for the specific account
- IP Reach: this is the total number of Business IPs available for the specific account
- Cookie Reach: this is the total number of cookies available for the specific account
- UID2 Reach: this is the count of distinct Unified ID 2.0 identifiers available for cookie-less targeting
Above the table, you will see options to filter the data down by departments, country and seniority:
- Department: by default, results are unfiltered, meaning you will see reach regardless of whether a department exists for that cookie. To narrow this down to specific departments, click the menu and select your desired departments. Note: department is not available for IPs. Selecting a department will show 0 reach for IPs.
-
Country: by default, results are unfiltered, meaning you will see reach regardless of whether a country exists for that IP. To narrow this down to specific countries, click the menu and select your desired countries. Note: country is not available for cookies. Selecting a country will show 0 reach for cookies.
- Note that further geo-filtering by state, province or city in a new display ad can further restrict reach.
-
Seniority: by default, results are unfiltered, meaning you will see reach regardless of whether a seniority level exists for that cookie. To filter this down to senior decision makers, toggle the switch on. Note: seniority is not available for IPs. Selecting seniority will show 0 reach for IPs.
- Note - seniority is defined as manager-level and above (specifically Manager, Director, Senior Management, VP, CSuite, Board and Ownership levels)for the selected department(s), or across the entire company. Seniority targeting happens behind the scenes at the job level or function, and is not based on specific job titles. Filtering the data in this way ensures that we don’t leave out key decision-makers, particularly at larger companies where a manager can have significant decision-making power. This is generally a good option for customers that are targeting companies that have greater than ~200 employees.
Filtering Results
Aside from narrowing down results by seniority, department and country, you can filter results based on their values or based on DemandScience data.
Filtering by column results
By clicking the filter icon on the right bar, you can narrow down your results based on the field values.
For example, you can limit results to only accounts with more than 50 IP addresses by using the slider:
Alternatively, you can exclude any accounts with more than 50 IPs by clicking the ≠ icon:
Adding additional fields for filtering
Using the 'Add Filters' link, you may add fields from anywhere across the DemandScience ecosystem for filtering.
This will open a panel with all available fields. Fields are alphabetical within their groups, with a group being the source of the data. You can also search for a specific field in the search box.
To add a field, simply check the box next to it.
Use Cases
Understanding this data can help solve the following use cases:
- How much reach do I have for my targeted accounts, and how much should I budget for them? Understanding reach can help you determine how likely you are to be able to serve ads to your targeted accounts, as well as how much you should budget. For example, if you are targeting accounts that has very little reach, you would budget less. Conversely, accounts with larger reach would need more budget.
- Can I target specific departments/countries? This table will help you determine if we have cookies or IPs as you narrow down based on country or department/seniority. If you are finding that your reach is too small, try expanding out your targeting.
- Can I target specific companies? What is my match rate? This table will help you determine if we have cookies or IPs for any list of accounts that you’re trying to target (excluding list-based uploads). If you are finding that some of your target accounts have a 0 - then that means there is insufficient data available to target that account.
