Outlook Agent Version 7.0+

For organizations using the new Outlook for Windows, new Outlook for Mac, or Outlook on the web, Terminus has developed Outlook Agent Version 7.1.1 to support signatures in the new Outlook. Due to ongoing changes from Microsoft, future updates and newer versions of the Outlook Agent may be necessary to maintain compatibility.

Overview

Unlike previous Outlook Agent versions that store signatures locally on the device, the new Outlook Agent Version 7.1.1 is a custom Outlook Add-In that manages signatures from the Outlook ribbon. While the end-user experience in Outlook differs with this new version, the functionality and capabilities are generally the same as in previous versions of the Outlook Agent. 

• Please note that Campaign-Only Implementation with this version is not available at this time.

System Requirements

In addition to the requirements outlined here, please refer to the below:

• The new Outlook for Windows or Mac desktop must be enabled
• Outlook email accounts must reside on Exchange 2013 or later, which is available through Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, or through an on-premises installation.
  • POP and IMAP email accounts in Outlook are not supported

Installation

Depending on whether your organization chooses to centrally deploy the new Outlook Agent or have users install individually, the steps are simple and can be followed by navigating to one of the resources listed below:

Functionality

Once the new Outlook Agent is installed, you can view the settings by composing a new message in Outlook. The "DemandScience Signatures" Add-In should be visible along the top Ribbon.

Since the signature is no longer stored locally on the device, the signature will update upon the composition of every message in Outlook. There is no longer a need to wait 15 minutes or refresh Outlook to pull in your latest signature changes. In addition, you no longer need to refer to Outlook's default signature setting options to manage your Terminus signature. 

The Terminus signature will automatically be set as the default for New Messages. If you wish to modify this and/or set the Terminus signature as the default for Replies/Forwards, you can do so by selecting the "Settings" option.

If your organization utilizes the Alternate campaign type, you can select an Alternate campaign by clicking the "Alternate Campaigns" option. To revert the campaign in your signature back to the original creative, select the "Reset" button in the side panel.
