When you upload a Bounce file in Klarity, it is sent to our support team to review. Upon receipt of your file we will process the emails on the list through an email validation service to determine their accuracy. The results are broken down into the following categories with each category being fully eligible, partially eligible, or ineligible for replacement credits.
Valid (Ineligible) - This means the email address is correct and exists.
Why would I get a bounce if the email address was valid?
Invalid (100% Eligible) - This means the email address is incorrect or does not exist. Customers are eligible to receive a replacement credit for any email addresses categorized as 'Invalid' during our email validation process.
Risky (50% Eligible) - This means the email address is valid but has a high probability of being a spam trap, a disposable address, or an abuse account.
Accept All (50% Eligible) - This means the email address belongs to a domain that accepts all incoming emails, regardless of whether they exist or not.
Unknown (50% Eligible) - This means the email validation service could not verify the email address due to some technical issues such as server timeout, DNS error, or grey listing.
To ensure a seamless process for credit replacement, kindly remember the following:
- The record must have been originally exported within the past 30 days.
- Duplicate records in your upload will be counted only once.
- Records must not appear in any previously submitted bounce file.

Records contained in the Bounce file submitted: 1,000
After processing we confirm the following about the email addresses:
• Duplicates: 10
• Valid: 690
• Invalid: 200
• Risky: 20
• Accept All: 50
• Unknown: 30
According to our policy, customers are eligible for replacement credits for the 'Invalid' category (100% eligible). In this case, there are 200 invalid email addresses.
However, we guarantee 90% data accuracy, which means that 10% of the eligible records will be deducted.
Applying the 90% data accuracy deduction to the 'Invalid' category, we have 180 valid replacement credits remaining (200 - 20).
Additionally, other categories are 50% eligible for replacement credits:
Risky: 10 replacement credits (50% of 20)
Accept All: 25 replacement credits (50% of 50)
Unknown: 15 replacement credits (50% of 30)
In total, the number of credits being replaced is 224 (180 invalid + 9 risky + 22 accept all + 13 unknown) after applying the 90% data accuracy deduction.
