Audience Builder makes it simple to refine your searches by geographic region. In this guide, we’ll show you how to efficiently select regions, countries, states, and cities to help you get the most out of your search.
Searching by Company Location in Audience Builder
To access the Company Location filter in Audience Builder, navigate to the ‘Search’ tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
Once you open the filter, you’ll see four primary geographic regions:
- EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa)
- APAC (Asia-Pacific)
- North America (United States, Canada)
- Central and Latin America (Central America, Caribbean, South America)
Selecting any of these regions will reveal additional sub-regions.
For example, clicking on Central and Latin America will display Central America, Caribbean, and South America.
To see if specific countries are available within a sub-region, hover over the region name. If there are further options, the button will turn green.
If you’re targeting specific countries like Brazil, Peru, Chile, and Argentina, you can select South America and then remove any unneeded countries by clicking the ‘x’ next to them. For countries not automatically listed under a sub-region, you can manually add them using the search bar.
Tips for efficient selection:
The Company Location filter is designed to let you start with a broad selection and narrow it down, which is faster than adding countries individually. This approach helps you quickly tailor your search to your campaign needs.
When searching for prospects, you can filter by location in two distinct ways. Please note that Normal Mode and Advanced Mode cannot be used simultaneously.
- Normal Mode: Company Location
In Normal Mode, the location filter applies to the organization’s registered office or headquarters. Use this when you need to target companies based in a specific region, regardless of where their individual employees are physically located.
- Advanced Mode: Contact Country
Toggling to Advanced Mode activates the Contact Country filter. This allows you to identify specific contacts who reside or work in a certain country, even if their employer is headquartered elsewhere. As we prioritize professional data privacy, we do not provide full residential or office addresses for individuals. Filtering is strictly limited to the country level.
Best for: Targeting remote workers, regional sales teams, or decentralized workforces.
Availability: "Contact Country" data is available for a smaller subset of our total database compared to "Company Location."
Note on Exports: Regardless of the mode used, your exported CSV will always include the Company Address for the contact’s employer to ensure you have the necessary firmographic data for your CRM.
