In today’s digital landscape, staying competitive requires smart, data-driven decisions—especially in sales and marketing. Two powerful types of data that help businesses better understand their target audience are buyer intent data and technology install data.
Buyer intent data reveals what a company is interested in purchasing based on online behaviors—such as search activity, website visits, and content engagement. Technology install data, on the other hand, shows what technology a company is already using. This can shed light on their current tools, challenges, and preferences.
When combined, these data types offer valuable insights. For example, a software company offering a project management tool could identify businesses already using similar solutions and showing signs of researching alternatives. With that knowledge, they can craft targeted outreach that speaks directly to those prospects’ needs and pain points.
Using buyer intent and technology install data together gives teams a sharper, more strategic edge—helping them prioritize outreach, personalize messaging, and ultimately drive better results.
The Buyer Intent feature is designed to help you find potential customers who are interested in your products or services. This powerful tool enables you to refine your search results based on specific company behavior and buyer signals. With this feature, you can identify the individuals and companies most likely to be in the market for your offerings.
Our buyer intent engine, uses information from various sources to determine a company's purchasing interest and assigns a score to each intent topic. It is the first of its kind in the market, combining intent signals from four sources to provide the most comprehensive and accurate data available. These sources include companies' engagement with emails and phone calls, public information such as company growth, funding, acquisitions, product launches, and survey results from companies with projects across forty-nine different product categories.
Intent scores are calculated based on the number of intent signals triggered, with a higher score indicating significant interest in a product or service and a lower score possibly suggesting the company is in the preliminary stages of searching for something new. This feature allows you to focus on leads with the highest likelihood of converting.
Additionally, it is important to monitor how a company's intent scores trend on a monthly basis. By catching them at the right moment, when they begin to show aggressive search behavior, you can increase your chances of successfully closing deals.
To apply Buyer Intent:
- Head to the "Sales Signals" section in your search filters
- Click on "Buyer Intent"
- Enter the name of the intent you're seeking
After inputting the intent name, a list of potential matches will appear. Select the appropriate intent name from the displayed results. Further refine your search by adjusting the minimum and maximum Buyer Intent scores—a higher score indicates significant interest in a product or service.
Technographic data provides insight into the technology tools and platforms used by your target accounts. This data can help you:
- Segment prospects more effectively
- Prioritize leads based on their tech stack
- Tailor your messaging to align with their current needs
By understanding a company’s technology usage, you can focus your outreach on accounts more likely to engage or convert.
